                                                    Dr Onno Kramer is a senior water technologist with over 30 years of professional experience across drinking water operations, applied research, and educational innovation. 
He specialises in multiphase flow, adsorption technologies, and the removal of PFAS and other emerging contaminants in real-world treatment systems.
Throughout his career, he has consistently connected practical engineering challenges with scientific research and strategic development, creating solutions that work in both labs and the field. At Waternet, he leads innovation trajectories that bridge policy and implementation, while actively coaching professionals and students in co-creative learning environments.
He plays a strategic role in the Dutch dune water companies’ steering group (DPWE) and links this to national coordination on water source protection and ecology.
Dr Kramer is a Visiting Senior Lecturer and Professor at Queen Mary University of London, affiliated with the School of Engineering and Materials Science.
He has authored over 35 publications, guided more than 125 students, and received several awards for innovation and educational excellence.
