Ian Thompson is an Associate Director at Economic Insight.  He leads many of the projects within Economic Insight’s regulatory economics practice, where he has advised in the water, energy, telecoms and aviation sectors.  His work includes regulatory strategy advice, framework design, development of business plans, and development of economic evidence for key price control parameters.  Ian has particular experience within the water sector, where he advised on PR14, PR19 and more recently PR24, and he was heavily involved in advising companies through the most recent CMA redeterminations in the water and air traffic control sectors.
