Matt Joined National Grid in 2003 on the graduate Scheme as an electrical and electronic engineer graduate from the university of Bristol.

In his over 20 years service at NESO and its predecessors Matt has focused his career on energy System Operation. He has previously lead for the organisation on it’s Zero Carbon Ambition in leading the teams delivering the programme which has enabled some of the world change capabilities with pathfinders, new response services and new ways of operating the power system.
He has also previously delivered the Capacity Market and Contract for Difference programmes for the customers of NESO, government and ofgem.
