Steve McMahon is Director for Network Price Controls. He is responsible Ofgem’s regulation of the onshore networks covering the operation of the existing electricity and gas network price controls and leading the price reviews that will deliver the next regulatory settlements from 2026. Steve is also Head of Scotland, overseeing the operation of Ofgem’s Glasgow office and leading on external relations activities.

Steve joined Ofgem in January 2017 from Transport Scotland where he led the team responsible for the specification of Scotland’s rail infrastructure programme. Prior to this he held a number of economist roles within both the Scottish and UK Government.
