Chris is Head of Safety, Health, Environment, Assurance, Risk and Resilience at National Grid Metering. With more than 15 years’ experience in health, safety and environmental management, Chris started working for contractors providing building engineering services to blue chip clients before joining National Grid in 2012 as Environmental Operations Manager.
Chris join National Grid’s Ventures business as their Health, Safety and Environment Manager in 2015 before moving in 2018 to join the leadership team at National Grid Metering as Head of Head of Safety, Health, Environment, Assurance, Risk and Resilience.
Chris is a strong advocate that leading health and safety is more than just compliance, rules and complexity, it’s about people. Its people that are vital to business, they are the eyes, ears and voice of the system and can provide unique insight to support positive change. As a people-focused leader, Chris believes that adaptability, curiosity and authenticity are crucial to making the difference to health and safety.
