Katie is Head of Research and Policy at Money and Mental Health, where she leads a ground-breaking research programme exploring the links between mental health problems and financial difficulty. Katie’s research has been widely discussed across government, regulators and academia. Her most recent policy achievements include arguing for the forthcoming creation of minimum standards for mental health across essential services markets, and convincing the government to extend the Breathing Space debt respite scheme to people experiencing a mental health crisis.
