Guy works for SP Energy Networks (Part of the ScottishPower Group) and undertakes the role of Managing Director, ScottishPower Transmission. SP Transmission is a regulated entity that owns, operates, maintains and connects customers the Electricity Transmission Network in Central and Southern Scotland. His work is essential to delivery of the UK Net Zero targets and particularly connecting the generation that will deliver the UK Government target of Clean Power 2030 (CP2030). SP Transmission has the ambition to “re-wire Central Scotland” to deliver that target.

Guy has held a variety of senior positions within ScottishPower, including Director roles in Asset Management, Operations and Customer Service since graduating from Aberdeen University 34 years ago. Guy also holds an MSc In Electricity Industry Business & Technology from Strathclyde University.

Guy has held a number of roles with external organisations over the last 20 years including HRH Ambassador for Sustainable Business in Wales. Princes Trust Board in Glasgow and Project Lead in e7 international group of electrical utilities for SP. He is currently Deputy Chair of Sustainable Glasgow, Member of Glasgow Economic Leadership Board and Edinburgh Climate Compact Member.

Guy has a number of interests outside work including Golf, Football, Rugby, attending theatre and music events and most importantly spending time with his family.
