Ahead of the Asset Management & Capital Projects Conference, we asked our speakers some questions and this is what they said...

Daniel Perry, Climate Change and Carbon Manager, Affinity Water Limited
What can we expect from your contribution at the WWT Asset Management & Capital Projects Conference 2025?
An introduction to the climate change focuses for Affinity Water, and the regulatory requirements that are required to drive a greener future for the industry.
What are you most looking forward to hearing about at the conference?
I am looking forward to hearing David Satti's presentation on creating the conditions for long-term asset resilience. This is particularly important following the recent Cunliffe review, as the Government begins to shape the future of water regulations.
What are the biggest challenges facing your industry at the moment, in your opinion?
The biggest challenges facing the Water Industry is the ambiguity regarding what the regulatory system will look like, following changes from the Cunliffe review. Delays to price reviews means delays to important business cases.
Why is the WWT Asset Management & Capital Projects Conference 2025 important to the industry and to you?
Having gone to the conference last year, I came away having learned far more about what challenges other companies are facing, how they align with Affinity Water's challenges and the options for solutions. Following large changes to the sector coming into the AMP, I believe opportunities to meet and discuss these challenges are even more valuable, as we all try to find our way through these ambiguous times.

How organisations are breaking down silos between teams, and systematising change to allow innovations to be more easily adopted
What are the biggest challenges facing your industry at the moment, in your opinion?
Working out how to translate great innovations into scaled and adopted solutions that deliver real value to customers, society and the environment.

Its a great way for the WIA to get the message out about the amazing innovations our members have that can help transform the delivery of projects in the sector.
