Future Energy Networks (FEN)

Future Energy Networks (FEN) is the membership organisation representing those in the energy industry seeking to understand and enact the changes needed to deliver the energy networks of the future.

FEN’s members include the owner and operator of the GB gas transmission network, National Gas, and the four Gas Distribution Networks (GDNs) – Cadent Gas, Northern Gas Networks, SGN and Wales & West Utilities. Five networks with operations in Northern Ireland – Evolve, Gas Networks Ireland, Kinecx Energy, Mutual Energy and Phoenix Energy – recently became associate members of FEN.

They believe in an equitable and affordable transition to Net Zero, with the energy networks playing a fundamental role in enabling this. They work with their members and stakeholders to coordinate the effective management of today’s networks while transitioning towards the energy networks of the future.
