The Infrastructure Delivery Forum is the brainchild of leaders at SSEN Transmission, SPEN Transmission and National Grid Electricity Transmission. Utility Week and Autodesk are helping the TOs bring their big idea to life.
This one-day interactive conference is for delivery partners, contractors, manufacturers and other critical players in the supply chain for our future net zero power grid.
The TOs recognise that historic norms for infrastructure delivery in this sector are not going to cut it on the road to net zero. With a collective £60bn if investment to be delivered across the transmission system in RIIO T3, the TOs are calling for your help to shape what the future of faster, more efficient and digitally driven delivery looks like.
Representatives from all of the TOs will share insights into what they have been doing individually, and collectively, to improve the way they scope, design and deliver infrastructure projects, with a heavy emphasis on moves to embrace digital innovations and data management best practice.
Early signatories to the new Charter for Digitally Enabled Infrastructure Delivery will also have the opportunity to share how they have started to bring its principles to life, realising meaningful improvements to commercial relationships, information flows, the speed at which learnings are transferred across projects and more.
Delegates will then be called to challenge, augment, scale up and develop key, problem-based ideas and initiatives put forward by the TOs. The purpose? To engage the power transmission eco-system in a truly collaborative opportunity to unlock much-needed pace, efficiency and capacity in project delivery.
